Job Description

Company Overview:
Gray & Osborne, Inc. has been a trusted provider of professional engineering services to public agencies throughout Washington State since 1935. We specialize in the planning, design, and construction management of infrastructure systems including water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and utilities. This position is based in our Seattle office at 1130 Rainier Avenue S., Suite 300. A hybrid work arrangement—requiring a minimum of three days per week in-office—is available after 12 months of employment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer with municipal transportation experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project engineering and/or project management for transportation projects for municipalities and special purpose districts across Washington State. Key responsibilities include scoping and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects. The role also includes providing our clients with funding administration and construction management support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative environment, contributing to meaningful projects that serve communities throughout Washington State.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10-20 years of experience in municipal transportation engineering
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package, with an anticipated total salary (including year-end bonus) ranging from $110,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
