Full-Time Position Overview:
We are looking for a structural engineer who is motivated, innovative, and ready to take on new challenges. In this full-time role, you will work with our in-house drafting and engineering teams. Attributes a candidate will demonstrate include outstanding communication skills, critical-thinking, and a strong attention to detail. Work is performed under the general supervision of the team leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural engineering and design of commercial and agricultural buildings. Coordinate with engineers, drafters, contractors, and consultants to ensure accuracy. Have the knowledge or willingness to learn the IBC and submit plans to governing body. Contribute to internal design reviews, promoting creative and technical problem-solving within the team. Review component submittals as required. Perform drafting and steel detailing to fill in where needed for the team to succeed. Maintain regular attendance and works overtime or extended hours as required to support project needs.
Qualifications:
Experience :
At least 5 years of structural engineering experience, structural PE preferred. Entry level engineer acceptable.
Software Skills :
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, other various engineering software and
Microsoft Office Suite Communication :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present and articulate ideas clearly.
Collaboration :
Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver successful projects. Attention to
Detail :
A keen eye for quality, from concept to completion.
