Job Description
Structural Engineering Revit Technician Position Summary The Structural Engineering Revit Technician supports structural engineers by producing high‑quality 2D and 3D BIM models, drawings, and documentation using Autodesk Revit. This role plays a key part in developing accurate structural designs for buildings, infrastructure, and industrial projects while maintaining company standards and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed structural BIM models in Revit for concrete, steel, masonry, and precast systems. Produce plans, sections, elevations, and construction details based on engineering markups and project requirements. Assist engineers with design coordination, clash detection, and drawing updates throughout project lifecycles. Maintain and apply company CAD/BIM standards to ensure consistency and quality. Coordinate models with architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Revise models and drawings based on engineering feedback or field changes. Prepare quantity takeoffs, schedules, and supporting documentation as needed. Manage drawing sets, revision control, and file organization within project directories. Support the development and maintenance of Revit families, templates, and libraries. Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to workflow improvements. Qualifications Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology, Civil/Structural Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-5 years of experience in structural drafting/modeling. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (structural focus preferred). Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Familiarity with structural materials and typical construction practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Slinger, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
