Sr. Structural Rack Engineer

Dematic has an immediate opening for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our North America Engineering team in Wauwatosa, WI. This is a hands-on, project-based role requiring deep expertise in structural analysis, steel and rack design, and close collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and project teams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical fundamentals, proven experience in industrial racking and ASRS applications, and the ability to lead complex structural engineering initiatives from concept through installation.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $102,750 - $150,700 at the time of posting. Approximately 25% Lead and coordinate Dematic North America's racking and structural engineering initiatives Support all phases of projects including concept development, structural design, engineering, installation, and commissioning Develop and review structural designs at both system and component levels, ensuring safe operation, code compliance, and sustainability Perform and oversee structural analysis, steel design, and connection design Create and review 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation Manage structural engineering budgets and design schedules for assigned projects; communicate status to project teams and management Support internal product development, including design validation and testing Partner with the Sales team to develop and review racking and structural design concepts Liaise closely with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, safety, site managers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project execution Support technical and concept reviews and ensure adherence to Dematic's engineering processes and standards Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to other engineers Rack and Steel Structure Design Industrial steel storage racks and ASRS structures Structural steel and cold‑formed steel design Connections and rolled cold‑formed sections Codes & Standards (familiarity required)
