In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and 2D models that support various civil engineering projects including stormwater improvements, water/sewer infrastructure, roadway, and site development. Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into detailed plans that drive successful project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge CAD software and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to bring visionary designs to life. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D (and sometimes 3D) CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D. Create accurate schematics, system designs, and technical documentation for construction and site development projects, led by our project engineers. Assist in drafting site plan updates aligned with project specifications. Assist in addressing minor civil engineering comments throughout the project permitting process. Support the development of construction documents by ensuring precision in all CAD outputs and maintaining version control. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to refine design details and troubleshoot technical issues during the drafting process. Incorporate feedback from project teams to enhance drawings and models while adhering to industry standards and project deadlines. Experience Proven experience working as a CAD Technician or in a similar drafting role within architecture, engineering, or construction industries. Preferred experience in civil engineering disciplines. Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Civil 3D is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with Bluebeam Revu (for PDF markup) is a plus. Strong understanding of drafting standards related to civil engineering design, and construction documentation. Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate conceptual ideas into precise digital models. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams.
