Clarificion from the agency Open to current, permanent FAA employees Duties Help Applies knowledge and experience in the discipline of building and facility mechanical and/or electrical system design and construction (i.e. heing, ventilion & air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, building management systems, fire suppression, power distribution, lighting, telecommunicions, fire alarm, intrusion, public address, etc.) for new construction and renovion of existing facilities in the Office of Facility Management. Also applies knowledge of building codes and FAA's energy policies and objectives to ensure compliance. Produces construction plans and specificions necessary for competitive bid documents through the use of the Computer Aided Engineering Graphic software (AutoCAD). Prepare construction cost estimes with a high level of detail to present to management. Prepares project schedules and reports progress of project milestones. Performs a mix of routine and varying assignments associed with the problem solving and design, installion, repairing, mechanical and mechanical systems and components. May provide on-the-job training to developing technicians. Applies experience and detailed technical knowledge of the applicable discipline the full performance level as well as applicable procedures and policies. Supervisors, team leaders, or more experienced technicians are available to provide guidance. Independently perform routine assignments. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

(2) engineering functions such as design, development, evaluion, testing, installion and maintenance of equipment. Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history. In addition to the minimum qualificions , the following has been determined to be a Selective Placement Factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualificions and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
