Geotechnical/Waterfront Engineering Technician

FR Engineering Group is a geotechnical and waterfront engineering company based out of Warwick, Rhode Island. We are searching for a full-time Engineering Technician to assist engineers on Geotechnical and Waterfront projects. Compensation will be based on relevant experience. Work will mainly entail construction observation, specifically:

• Earthwork and foundation construction observation
• Compaction Testing
• Concrete Testing
• Pile installation inspection
• Vibration monitoring
• Waterfront construction observation (seawalls, bulkheads, piers, revetments, ect.)
• General construction observation
• Soil boring inspection and soil classification Work may also include:
• Assisting engineers with inspection of existing structures (waterfront structures, buildings, dams, preconstruction surveys, ect.)
• Drafting Requirements for candidates include:
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Construction experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver's license
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to prepare daily written or digital reports
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Well organized
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Willing to work outside
• OSHA 10 and

OSHA 40 HAZWOPER

certified (preferred)

• Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I (preferred)
