Non-Exempt Position Summary:
Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Engineering Technician to support the 17th Civil Engineer Squadron (17 CES) in Goodfellow AFB, TX. This position is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Serve as the Contracting Officer's technical representative, preparing construction project documents such as estimates for projects, Statement's of Work (SoW) or Objectives (SoO), inspection and evaluation of construction projects to ensure Contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and phasing, communication and coordination with project stakeholders Review of technical submissions such as submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) Prepare broad drawings and layouts for construction work. Interact with technical or management specialists within the customer organization. Participate in regular meetings with the customer organization and its stakeholders. All other duties as assigned. Must be able to obtain CAC clearance. This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
Degrees from accredited programs as an engineering, architect, or related field are preferred, but not required. Experience in drafting, surveying construction, estimating, and similar efforts will be preferred. Have an in-depth knowledge of Air Force (AF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities Valid Real-ID state-issued driver's license Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner Excellent and accurate written communication Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality Veterans and Military Spouses are encouraged to apply.
