The Engineer I, OSP Engineering will support the planning, design, and implementation of outside plant (OSP) infrastructure for fiber optic and telecommunications networks. This entry-level role assists in the development of construction plans, engineering documentation, and field surveys to support network builds, upgrades, and maintenance. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of OSP design standards and is eager to grow within a dynamic engineering team. Assist in the design and drafting of fiber routes using GIS, CAD, or similar platforms Support field data collection efforts, including site surveys and pole/underground assessments Interpret construction prints, permits, and municipal right-of-way requirements Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and utilities to ensure accurate OSP design and documentation Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design drawings, BOMs, and redlines Ensure compliance with industry standards, local ordinances, and safety regulations Track project progress and support issue resolution under supervision of senior engineers Provide technical support during construction and post-construction validation
