Junior Drafter

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Architectural Junior Drafter to join our growing team. This role involves preparing accurate architectural drawings and plans in accordance with project requirements and design standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects and designers to help bring concepts to life from initial design through permitting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards. In addition to drafting responsibilities, this position will include coordinating with local city departments, both in person and over the phone, to obtain project information, track plan check status, and assist with permitting processes. We are looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and confident in communication. A willingness to take initiative and engage with team members. Proficiency in various drafting software is essential, as well as a strong understanding of architectural principles and basic knowledge of engineering concepts. Responsibilities Develop detailed architectural drawings using software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Create schematics and system designs for various projects, ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes and regulations. Collaborate with architects and interior designers to refine designs and incorporate feedback. Prepare 2D animations and visual presentations to effectively communicate design concepts. Review project specifications and ensure all drafts are accurate and complete. Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the drafting process. Qualifications Proficiency in architectural drafting software including ArchiCAD and Revit. Strong understanding of interior design principles and the ability to integrate them into architectural plans. Basic understanding of building systems and construction. Experience in creating schematics and system designs is preferred. Ability to draft accurately while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
