Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for applicants who are confident decision-makers, visual thinkers, good team players, communicative, flexible, and aligned with the mission and values of RDC. This is a full-time position based in our Long Beach office, with the option for flexible/hybrid work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Produce design and design development drawings, documents and exhibits Understand and use current company CAD standards and procedures in the production of design and design development drawings and exhibits Develop and maintain a working knowledge of coordination processes between architect and client, governmental agency, tenant, and consultant Assist with site planning, site layout, and site criteria conformance as directed by supervisor Assist with researching and collecting information as directed by supervisor Assist with the in-house coordination of architect, tenant and consultant drawings Prepare and implement corrections and changes as directed by supervisor
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in architecture 2+ years of professional experience in urban design/planning with a focus on site planning and architecture Advanced knowledge of urban design plans, architectural typologies, planning and zoning frameworks, creating drawings and graphic presentations and writing reports An advanced understanding of architectural design and site planning Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) required, as well as their application in developing and presenting design documents Maintain understanding of current industry developments and design and planning trends Effective English communication skills, conversational and written, for ongoing project collaboration and documentation
