We are a small but rapidly growing consulting firm that provides structural engineering services to architects, builders and developers across the Southern California region. We provide structural services on a diverse array of projects with a specialization in multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. The Structural Design Engineer will work closely with project managers and get hands-on experience to complete every phase of our structural projects. The engineer will get the opportunity to grow and own entire projects from schematic design through to construction documents and permitting.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Perform structural analysis to design wood, steel and concrete structures. This includes designing all gravity and lateral components of the structural system such as beams, columns, shear walls, moment frames and foundations. 2. Utilize structural design software to prepare calculation packages. 3. Prepare construction documents for building department submittal. This includes floor framing plans, foundation plans and construction details. 4. Collaborate with architects to find solutions and ensure design intent is achieved. 5. Review shop drawings. 6. Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to construction documents.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred) 2. 2-4 years of experience in structural analysis and design 3. California EIT or PE License (PE preferred) 4. Proficient in structural design software such as RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM, etc 5. Proficient in drawing production software such as Bluebeam, Revit & AutoCAD (Revit preferred) 6. Knowledge of local building codes and structural design standards 7. Strong knowledge of wood, concrete and steel design 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation :

• $60,000
