With an in-house design department, we specialize in design-build projects. As the Architectural Drafter you will be involved with creating detailed drawings of buildings and may make models and sketches to test ideas while considering the clients' needs, budgets, and regulations. You will work with clients, contractors, architectural team, and the management team to ensure the project meets quality standards and deadlines. This role will be responsible for maintaining and organizing project files and drawing sets as well as participating in project coordination meetings to communicate with the project team. You will need to have have strong problem-solving and communication skills in order to successfully satisfy the client's needs. Key Responsibilities Prepare and revise architectural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software platforms while maintaining office and industry standards. Create detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, based on project specifications. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that drawings align with the project's overall objectives. Draft and model efficiently, with a focus on accuracy, completeness, neatness, and compliance with codes and standards. Implement revisions and redlines accurately, including thorough back-checking against markup sets. Ensure that drawings comply with building codes, ADA requirements, and other regulatory standards. Maintain and organize project files and drawing sets, following office protocols for production, file storage, and project organization. Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate effectively with the project team. Prepare project architectural specifications as specified by Design Manager Assist in resolving design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Support the delivery of high-quality, fully coordinated design and construction documentation, meeting project requirements and deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Qualification & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field 2+ experience with architectural drafting in a professional setting Familiarity with building codes and compliance with various standards Good oral and written communication skills. Technical Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and design/drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) Solid technical and design application knowledge
