• About the Role
• We are a growing architecture and construction firm seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Architectural Drafter and Project Coordinator to join our team full time. This is a hands-on production role — not a design position. We need someone who can hit the ground running, produce accurate construction documents, and manage projects from concept through permit approval.
• Key Responsibilities
• Prepare complete architectural construction drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Produce and coordinate all discipline drawings: architectural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical (MEP)
• Prepare and submit permit applications to city and county jurisdictions throughout Florida
• Coordinate with local building departments, engineers, and inspectors to ensure smooth permit approvals
• Manage project timelines and communicate progress directly with clients
• Review drawings for code compliance with Florida Building Code (FBC)
• Maintain organized project files, drawing sets, and submission records
• Interface professionally with clients, contractors, and municipal officials
• Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on field and production experience in architecture or architectural drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); Revit or other BIM software a plus
• Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code and local municipal permitting processes
• Experience coordinating MEP drawings and working with licensed engineers
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent client-facing communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects
• Not Required
• An active Florida Architect of Record license is not required for this role; however, all work will be submitted under a licensed architect
