Job Description
Job Overview We are now seeking another drafter/designer to join our dynamic design team in-office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative architectural projects by creating precise, comprehensive drawings and technical schematics. As an integral part of our team, you will collaborate closely with clients, general contractors, and structural engineers to translate concepts into detailed plans that meet project specifications and industry standards. This position is strictly in-office, located in downtown Ocala. Responsibilities Develop detailed construction documents using AutoCAD. Collaborate with other team members, homeowners, and general contractors during design development. Communicate with clients during meetings in-person, over the phone, or online via Teams or Zoom. Requirements Ability to produce construction drawings in layer manager through all pages, including exterior elevations, floor plan, foundation plan, roof layout, sections/details (a lot of these will be established for you), and electrical layout. Capability to produce drawings in 3d is strongly preferred but not required. Training provided for an ideal candidate. Strong communication skills to keep the team and clients updated via SmartSheets, email, and in-person/phone calls. General knowledge of Florida Building Code (FBCR 2023 8th Edition a must) Reliable transportation to work in-person Monday-Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm (lunch break from 12-1) with additional hours available and optional
