Residential Home building Cadd drafting

The CAD team is responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for residential construction projects. This role works closely with architects, designers, engineers, and construction teams to translate concepts into precise construction documents that meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed residential construction drawings using CAD software (AutoCad 3D) Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for single-family and multi-family homes Revise drawings and plans based on feedback from Management Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and company standards Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical plans to ensure integration and accuracy Review design specifications and identify potential design or constructability issues Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for all projects Assist in permitting and submission processes as needed Collaborate with purchasing and construction teams to ensure design accuracy aligns with materials and budgets Qualifications Certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field 3-5 years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in residential construction Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D Strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Key Competencies Technical drawing and design skills Attention to detail and precision Problem-solving and detailed Time management and organization Communication and teamwork Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Office-based role with collaboration across design and construction teams May require occasional site visits to review designs and field conditions Performance Metrics Accuracy and quality of drawings Timeliness of revisions and project completion Compliance with building codes and standards Coordination efficiency with internal teams Reduction in design errors or construction rework
