Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your expertise in digital modeling, system design, and construction documentation to support complex projects. Your energetic approach will drive collaboration across disciplines, ensuring precise, efficient, and innovative project delivery from concept through construction.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and coordinate detailed 3D models using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and MicroStation to support design and construction processes. Create accurate construction schematics, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) documentation aligned with project specifications. Integrate BIM workflows to facilitate clash detection, coordination, and visualization across multidisciplinary teams. Prepare detailed system design models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), interior design, and structural components. Utilize Bluebeam for markup review and collaboration on project drawings and documents. Support the development of 2D animations and visualizations for client presentations or project planning. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure models meet project standards and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a
VDC / BIM
Technician or Modeler within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry. Strong proficiency in Revit is essential; familiarity with ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to produce detailed schematics, drafting plans, and CAD drawings for diverse project types. Experience working on complex systems design including mechanical systems and interior layouts. Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to translate design concepts into precise digital models. Familiarity with graphic design principles and 2D animation techniques for visualization purposes.
