About Us J. Lloyd Engineering, LLC is a small structural engineering firm based in Watkinsville, Georgia, specializing in restoration and rehabilitation design engineering. Much like forensic engineers, we diagnose structural issues in existing buildings and infrastructure and develop repair designs. We also provide new design structural engineering services, non-destructive testing, exploratory testing, and load testing of structures in place. Our work spans the southeastern United States, and we pride ourselves on delivering practical, well-crafted engineering solutions. Position Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to support our engineering team in producing high-quality structural drawings for restoration, rehabilitation, and new design projects. This position is open to all experience levels—from recent graduates of drafting or engineering technology programs to experienced drafters looking for a new opportunity. You will work closely with licensed engineers to translate structural designs and field data into accurate, code-compliant construction documents. Key Responsibilities Produce and modify structural engineering drawings in AutoCAD based on engineer markups, sketches, and field data Develop construction documents including plans, sections, details, and schedules for restoration and new design projects Maintain and organize drawing files, templates, and standard detail libraries Coordinate with engineers to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and comply with applicable codes Incorporate field survey information and as-built conditions into project drawings Assist with quantity takeoffs and specification preparation as needed Perform occasional field visits to gather measurements, verify existing conditions, and document findings through photographs and sketches Support project documentation and filing efforts Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with Revit is a plus Associate's degree or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted Understanding of structural engineering drawings, construction details, and standard drafting conventions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and technical specifications Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project teams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., ladders, testing equipment) for occasional field visits Willingness to travel to project sites within the southeastern United States on occasion Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Physical Requirements This role is primarily office-based with occasional field work. Field visits may include accessing job sites, climbing ladders, and working in various outdoor conditions. Pay:

$25.00 - $34.00 per hour
