This role is ideal for someone who understands how cabinetry is built, can read architectural plans, and is comfortable working in Mozaik and CAD. The Junior Designer will help move projects through the early design, revision, approval, and pre-estimating stages. This includes updating drawings from client redlines, preparing approval drawings, coordinating sample submittals, and helping organize project intake information before it moves into estimating and production. This is a hands-on design support position for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working between clients, designers, estimators, engineers, and the shop. Duties Review client redlines, revisions, and project notes, then update drawings for approval. Create and revise cabinetry drawings using Mozaik and CAD. Read, interpret, and scale architectural plans, elevations, and construction details. Prepare drawing packages and project information for client review and approval. Coordinate sample submittals and help ensure they are organized, accurate, and sent to clients on time. Assist with project intake by gathering information, reviewing inquiries, and completing pre-estimating checklists. Help organize project details before they move to estimating, engineering, or production. Communicate with internal team members to clarify details, missing information, and project requirements. Support the design and engineering team with drafting, documentation, and project coordination tasks. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across drawings, revisions, and client-facing documents. Skills Proficiency in Mozaik and CAD. At least 3 years of cabinetry construction, cabinet design, or related millwork experience preferred. Ability to read and scale architectural plans, elevations, and construction details. Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and basic shop processes. High attention to detail when reviewing drawings, measurements, and revisions. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active projects. Clear communication skills with both internal team members and clients. Ability to follow direction, ask the right questions, and keep projects moving. Experience with custom cabinetry, millwork, or residential construction is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
