Position Summary:
To promote technical and design excellence in order to be a supplier that providing exceptional quality and technically sound products.
Responsibilities:
Understand customer expectations and needs on the technical side of our business in order to make precise designs and propose accurate technical solutions. Analyze and monitor assigned client projects. Help build our value added proposal for each of our potential customers. Participate in sales meetings. Coordinate with the site Sales Representative in order to confirm and/or correct relevant information. Be aware of the equipment capabilities in order to propose viable technical solutions for product manufacturing. Be familiar with all current regulations on packaging design. Work with and support Operations in the areas of controlled drawings, ordering of tools, continuous improvement activity and first box right first time program. Saica Sales System (SSS) Respect and follow procedures described in the SSS manual with regard to design. Use GPOT tool to ensure accuracy of work and record information to manage the activity of the department. Innovation Be aware of the latest design technologies and tools available to provide the best solutions to our customers. Propose innovative structural solutions for customers. Be an active part of the technical community in the Group. Validate the structural designs within the existing machine range. Sales Team Capabilities Regularly participate in training programs to keep updated in design tools and technology.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or similar. 3 to 5 years of successful and demonstrable experience as a structural designer, ideally within the corrugated packaging industry.
