Job Description
Role Description:
The eTools CAD & Catalog Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining our 2D/3D CAD, digital material swatches, and catalog enrichment data for use in Kimball International's electronic specification tools.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the business unit stakeholders; as well as outside development partners to create and enhance eTools model data
Create/Validate 2D/3D AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools as identified by the business units.
Create material JPG's that tile and render accurately when assigned to product layers
Utilize Catalog Creator software to import SIF, and build/publish eTools catalogs
Distribute enrichment data to various vendor partners
Keep symbol downloads page of Kimball International Brand's websites current
Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing and support of eTools catalog & symbol creation
Promote strategy to reduce costs through standardization, automation, and shared assets
Stay current with technology trends, new software and best practices that can increase productivity Identify methods to use Information Technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness within eTools development
Ensure that effective communication is delivered to all required parties regarding project status updates, support issues and customer inquiries
Build and maintain business relationships to ensure proper alignment to our business strategy
Develop, execute, and maintain documentation for processes and projects
Support vision and guiding principles of Kimball International and the goals of the business units.

Qualifications:
Educational Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting and design, or relevant work experience
