Job Description
Job Title:
Architectural Drafter Essential Skills Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or other related technical field. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, contract documents, and specifications. Previous experience preferred in engineering and/or architectural drafting and rendering, design, and CAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in architectural design and construction documents. Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Job Description As an Architectural Drafter, you will be responsible for developing shop drawings as specified in the customer-defined scope of work. You will submit architectural drawings and specifications, interpret information from internal orders and customer-supplied structural and architectural plans, and draft floor plans, sections, elevations, and details. Your role will also include coordinating panel analysis with engineering personnel and conducting quality checks on peer drawings and bills of materials. Responsibilities Develop shop drawings as defined in the scope of work provided by the customer. Submit architectural drawings and specifications. Interpret information from internal orders and customer-supplied structural and architectural plans. Draft floor plans, sections, elevations, and details. Coordinate panel analysis with engineering personnel. Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bills of materials. Review and update drawings to customer redline corrections as needed. Provide preliminary take-offs on every project to verify material that will need to be ordered by customer service. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
