We work with architects and installers to ensure their retail, commercial, or industrial buildings look and perform exactly how they designed them to. Our expert designers, engineers, fabricators, and installers take pride in achieving the highest standards set by both our customers and ourselves. The CEI Design Department is responsible for the creation of the custom architectural facade systems and features of projects at CEI. The CEI Architectural Designer is the individual that creates and designs the panel systems for production using the tools of the department. From the creation of a Preliminary Drawing set to the Final Design of the panels for Production, the Architectural Designer will use software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks and other proprietary software to generate an accurate and quality product. To facilitate this, they are also responsible for coordinating closely with the Project Management and Production Departments to ensure client's expectations are managed and met.
Schedule:
Assist in managing the design schedule for each project assigned.
Scope:
At the direction of the Engineering Designing staff and Project Management, this position will be responsible for incorporating changes and modifications to the drawings per the architectural intent and client's specifications.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for taking a set of preliminary shop drawings and using as-built dimensions of the building to create a very accurate representation of how the panel systems will be installed. Using CEI panel builder, AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks and learned knowledge of CEI panel systems to ensure that every condition on a building is accounted for in the installation of said panels.
Create and provide:
A complete set of drawings designed specifically to assist personnel in the field with the layout and installation of the panel systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in design architecture or equivalent related experience Highly Proficient in AutoCAD Revit experience preferred Proficient in SolidWorks sheet metal tools is a plus, but not required Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.) as well as PDF software (Bluebeam, Adobe, etc.) The ability to read and interpret Contract Documents such as architectural drawings, specifications, supplemental instructions, etc. Proficient with 3D modeling software such as Inventor, etc. is a plus, but not required Experience working with laser scanning technology and point cloud data is a plus, but not required Experience in construction and/or manufacturing industries preferred
