Job Description
1. Qualifications Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field Must hold a valid professional license (e.g., Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer). A copy of the license must be provided upon application Minimum of 10 years of continuous experience in real estate development or construction industry (Supporting documentation required) Relevant experience includes: Architectural design experience in a professional design firm Technical and/or managerial experience in a construction or development company, including project supervision Strong knowledge of real estate development, construction regulations, permitting processes , and local compliance requirements in Minnesota and its municipalities Ability to read, interpret, and review construction drawings Ability to prepare site plans based on varying terrain and site conditions Proficiency in preparing standard architectural drawings and documentation Prior experience in construction supervision or project management is preferred 2. Key Responsibilities Prepare and oversee project planning and design proposals Evaluate and review qualifications of consulting firms participating in project bids; recommend the most suitable firms Develop and compile design requirements and technical specifications Review and approve master plans and construction drawings for housing development projects Establish project timelines, including construction start and completion schedules Organize and guide the application process for government construction permits Oversee construction quality control and coordinate project inspections and final acceptance Lead the application process for Certificate of Occupancy upon project completion Organize and manage the selection, evaluation, and appointment of project supervision firms and construction contractors 3. Additional Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills Experience working with local government agencies, municipalities, and permitting authorities is highly preferred 4.
