Job Description

ICON Architecture & Fabrication is seeking an industrial design or wood tech professional with a thorough understanding of Solidworks. This individual will then be responsible for learning a overlay software dedicated to the woodworking industry via peers and online training. Any understanding of cabinetry, woodworking, CNC operation, general fabrication, and construction will be of great benefit. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate 5 years of work history in one of these or similar industries. Successful applicant will be focused, organized, team oriented, and comfortable solving problems alone and in a cooperative fashion.
Responsibilities:
Develop and publish 30-60 sheet shop drawing packages in collaboration with ICON engineering team. Maintain review/approval logs for shop drawing packages. Collaborate with fabricators to develop approaches and solutions. Work with outside vendors and fabricators to initiate orders Develop independent solutions to design and engineering problems.
Accuracy Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in relevant field or proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment with the woodworking industry. Ability to read architecture and fabrication drawings A problem solver and creative thinker. Outstanding communication skills. Both internal and external. Extremely well organized and detail oriented. Any experience with AutoCAD or Revit is appreciated.
