Drafting Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our client in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed fire sprinkler system designs, ensuring compliance with local and national fire codes, and supporting project execution through technical expertise and collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes Prepare detailed drawings using CAD software and fire protection design tools ( AutoSprink preferred) Perform hydraulic calculations using appropriate software Generate accurate stock/material lists using stock listing software or manual methods Conduct system reviews to ensure design accuracy and compliance Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams Assist with field surveys and site evaluations Maintain proper documentation for all design projects
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in fire sprinkler system design (Mandatory) Proficiency in CAD software and fire protection design tools Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire suppression systems Experience performing hydraulic calculations Ability to produce accurate stock/material lists Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout (or willingness to obtain) Experience with AutoSprink software
Key Skills:
