Overview Founded in 1962, PS&S has evolved into a unique best-in-class architecture, engineering, surveying, and environmental consulting firm, providing design and consultation services to a wide range of public, corporate, institutional, and commercial clients. Recognized both for our breadth of services and depth of expertise, PS&S is the single source for planning, design and permitting at the local, state, and federal levels. PS&S recently acquired Priest, Craven & Associates, a well-respected Raleigh firm and are looking to continue to grow in the Raleigh, Durham and Research Triangle market. Position Summary We're a collaborative, forward‑thinking engineering, architecture, environmental and survey consulting firm with a strong presence across the Southeast. Our Raleigh office is growing, and we're looking for motivated early‑career talent who wants to build meaningful, community‑shaping projects. From mixed‑use developments to municipal infrastructure, we bring together planners, architects, engineers, and environmental scientists to deliver thoughtful, sustainable solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Preparing site civil design plans including site layout, grading, drainage, water and sanitary sewer design, utility plans and erosion control Developing construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D Assisting with stormwater management design and calculations Supporting permitting efforts with local and state agencies Coordinating with internal disciplines and external partners Participating in field visits, site reviews, and project meetings Contributing to design reports, exhibits, and technical documentation Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field 0-2 years of experience in site civil design (inclusive of internships) Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; exposure to GIS, hydraulic/hydrology tools is a plus Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn from experienced engineers EIT certification or intent to pursue What We Offer Opportunity to work on diverse, meaningful projects across North Carolina We will encourage you to grow and develop your career with us through our career mapping, ongoing training, and career development program.
