Job Description

CJ Architects is a full-service architectural firm specializing in mixed use, multifamily, commercial, and historic designs. Located in Historic Downtown Portsmouth, NH, our office is within walking distance of the waterfront, fantastic restaurants, shops, and many popular art and entertainment centers. As a designer, you will be tasked with reporting to the Principal and Project Architect and will gain experience in drafting construction documents, compiling client presentations, as well as other duties related to the design process. To ensure the quality of our work and provide the best possible experience for both our clients and staff, our team is limited to eight by design. We are seeking an entry level designer to join our firm and contribute to this tight-knit working community. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • B.S. Arch, B.Arch, M.Arch degree, OR 4th year standing in college
  • 0-4 years of experience in architectural design
  • A motivated, creative, and professional attitude
  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in other 3D software platforms is a plus.

Hours:
