Sr. Structural Designer

Structural Designer Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Designer with over 10 years of expertise in structural piping design. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to confidently create structural drawings from engineer designs and transform them into comprehensive blueprints for fabrication. Our projects involve complex structural elements including chemical plants and cryogenic equipment, requiring precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities Lead the creation of structural drawings from design engineer specifications. Manage drafting and production of drawings using CADWorks and 2D Bricksworks. Redline and mark up existing schematics for piping and racking systems. Translate engineering documentation into precise drawings. Conduct stress analysis and computational work for structural integrity. Work on projects involving pipe supports, ladders, platforms, and steel structures. Essential Skills 10+ years of structural piping design experience. Proficiency in CADWorks or AutoCAD. Experience with steel structural design. Familiarity with plant design and piping design. Knowledge of structural engineering and industrial process engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with cryogenic projects is preferred. Understanding of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). Experience with building codes in foreign countries is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedminster, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
