Job Description

Beechwood Homes is one of the largest developers of single family and multifamily housing with award-winning craftsmanship that has defined luxury living, creating beautifully tailored homes and vibrant communities. We have an immediate, exciting opportunity in our corporate office, located in Jericho, NY, for an Associate Architect. Salary commensurate with experience. In this position, you can be part of coordinating all aspects of a project from concept through final marketing collaterals.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist and submit construction documents for design presentation/review such as schematic design, design development phases, plans, elevations, sections, details, construction drawings, drafting, 3D modeling, specifications and calculations. Assist in the preparation of planning, design, and construction documents for both new building projects as well as existing building - expansion, alteration, legalization, renovation, or replacement projects Maintain consistent coordination with project managers, construction team, and other stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the project Prepare presentation materials and documentation. Also attend project meetings to discuss the project status, updates, construction schedule, budget, and time frames.
Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience in residential architecture, including land planning/site planning, structural design, HVAC and plumbing (mechanical), electrical, space planning, architectural concepts, energy efficiency design, exterior elevations, building layouts, construction planning, and floor plans. Ability to prepare engineering documents, specifications and cost estimates for projects. Understanding of codes and zoning. Candidate must have a proficient knowledge of AutoCAD. Team person with good communication, organizational and coordinating skills. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools. Ability to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Building department experience a plus.

Microsoft Office Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Professional License a plus.
Pay:
From $70,000.00 per year
