Job Description

Architectural Designer We are seeking a skilled and creative Architectural Designer to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional designs for various architectural projects. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other design professionals to bring their visions to life.
Responsibilities:
  • Use your expertise in design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp to create detailed 2D and 3D models of buildings
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences for the project
  • Develop preliminary sketches and drawings for client review
  • Create final construction documents including detailed plans, elevations, and sections
  • Research building codes and regulations to ensure compliance with local laws
  • Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess progress of projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Architectural Designer
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Architecture
  • Experience working on commercial or institutional projects
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles
Salary:
$1000 per week (negotiable based on experience)
Location:
Akron, Ohio (willingness to relocate preferred) Employment type: Full-time
