Much of our work is homeowner-focused, which means we take a highly personal, hands-on approach to each project—listening carefully, tailoring solutions to the client's goals, and guiding projects from early planning through permit-ready documentation. Our practice is grounded in thoughtful design, clear communication, and technically rigorous drawing sets that support efficient approvals and well-executed construction. Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating design concepts into comprehensive, permit-ready construction documents. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Northeast wood stick-frame construction standards and can independently produce clear, accurate, and highly detailed construction drawings. If you thrive on the technical side of architecture and love putting a building together on screen, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive construction document sets (plans, elevations, sections, and details) using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture.
  • Producing clear, accurate plans for permitting and construction
  • Generate highly accurate, code-compliant construction details specifically for traditional stick-frame construction.
  • Applying International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC), for NJ and PA to permit set plans, section and construction details.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to incorporate design revisions and structural requirements.
  • Completing revisions quickly and accurately based on direction
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Review drafts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to company layering and drafting standards.
  • Experience with SketchUp for quick modeling and visualization tasks.
What this role is:
This is a technical, in-house drafting role focused on production. You will primarily be working from provided sketches and direction to create construction-ready plans. There is limited client interaction and design responsibility in this position. The focus is on accuracy, efficiency, and supporting the construction team. Qualifications & Requirements

            Detail-Oriented:

            • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
            • Ability to take direction and execute without constant oversight
            Portfolio:
A portfolio or drawing samples demonstrating construction document sets and detailing work will be required during the interview process.
