Design Tree Engineering is pursing the addition of a Civil Designer w/ 5+ years' experience and a to join our growing and dynamic Civil Engineering Team in our Alexandria, Sauk Rapids or Minneapolis office. Ideal candidates are driven and looking to grow with the organization.

Responsibilities:
Develop design concepts by coordinating with Design Tree and client personnel. Take initiative in issue resolution by seeking direction from Design Tree personnel and/or clients. Produce high-quality documents based on in-house drafting standards and clients' design plans. Responsible for accurately completing tasks and projects in a timely manner based on project deadlines. Develop, maintain, and enforce standards, workflows, templates, details, and best practices within the Civil Engineering Department. Collaborate and coordinate with DTE Team members in other engineering disciplines. Set up new projects with the company's standards and templates. Create custom content as required for AutoCAD project execution. Produce high quality designs and documents. Work with Project Managers and DTE Leadership to understand the scope of work, schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities. Complete tasks within scope, budget and schedule. Execute procedures as determined by the Team Leader. Review designs for completeness, constructability and coordination. Monitor drawings to ensure adherence to quality standards. Assist in creation and development of drafting procedures and standards. Have a positive attitude, willingness to learn and be part of a team. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of two years' of Civil Engineering design experience with AutoCAD. Familiarity with HydroCAD, Bluebeam, and Infraworks are plusses. Excellent communication skills. Associates or Bachelors degree in related field. Basic knowledge of construction practices. Hard working, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. Preferred experience for project types such as K-12 Education, Multi-family housing, Site Development Occasional travel to client sites for gathering information and measurements of existing facilities. Site visits may require ladder, stair, and/or scaffolding climbing. Willing to work overtime on occasion to meet project deadlines.
