Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail oriented Architectural Designer to join our small team. Currently we have a portfolio of high end retail, hospitality and residential lighting design projects in addition to our interior architecture work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural, interior and/or lighting design and experience in residential and retail/hospitality projects. This role involves collaboration to develop design concepts, create detailed drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, attend weekly team meetings via Zoom and ensure that projects meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Designer will play a key role in bringing architectural visions to life through effective design practices. Responsibilities Work closely with owner/designer to understand client needs and preferences for architectural, interior design and lighting design projects. Create detailed architectural drawings in AutoCAD 2026 and Revit 2025 Create Lighting Specification packages and Schedules Incorporate graphic design elements into presentations and project documentation as needed. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design quality. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field is a MUST Minimum 1 year experience working in design firm Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Autodesk Forma (BIM Design Collaboration), Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Strong understanding of schematics, CAD principles, system design, and graphic design techniques Experience in producing architectural drawing sets Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A portfolio showcasing previous architectural work is required for consideration Ability to commute to Malibu as needed for working sessions and meetings Hourly pay based on experience. Approximately 20 hours per week with the option to move to a full time position for the right candidate.
