Job Description
About the Role We are a boutique interior design studio specializing in custom luxury residential new construction and we are looking for a talented Junior Designer to join our team. This is a part-time position starting at 20 hours per week, with potential to grow into a full-time role. Hours are flexible within a standard workday (8am-6pm), so we can work with your schedule. The team works together in the office approximately one day per week — the rest of the role is a mix of working from home and out in the field for site visits, meetings, and sourcing. If you have a strong design eye, hands-on experience with residential projects, and want to be a part of a small but mighty team — we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Assist with design concepts, material selections, and client presentations for luxury residential projects. Source furnishings, lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, textiles, and accessories that align with the firm's design vision. Create mood boards and client-facing deliverables. Produce floor plans, elevations, and basic construction drawings in AutoCAD. Prepare specifications and help maintain project documentation. Coordinate with architects, builders, vendors, and subs. Support site visits, field measurements, and construction administration. Participate in project installations and styling days. Pick up samples, meet delivery drivers, and maintain an organized sample library. Help pack and ship samples to clients. Sit in on client and team meetings and take notes as needed. Load products into Houzz Pro and help cross-check project information. Assist with social media scheduling and content preparation. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred. At least 1 year of hands-on interior design experience, ideally in residential or high-end design. 2+ Years preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with Canva or Houzz Pro is a bonus. A strong eye for design, materials, and detail — you know quality when you see it. Familiarity with luxury finishes, natural materials, and mountain architecture is a big plus. Organized and reliable — you can juggle multiple projects without letting things slip. A great communicator who works well with clients, vendors, and a small team. Self-motivated and eager to grow within the role over time. Based in Park City, Salt Lake City, or nearby — and comfortable traveling to Park City regularly. Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license for trips to job sites and showrooms. Able to lift up to 50 lbs (samples, deliveries, and install days can get physical!). Interested? Send us your resume, a portfolio and a quick note about yourself to kate@cdelanyinteriors.com.
