Drafting Manager Job Summary:
The Lead BIM Modeler is responsible for producing detailed shop drawings for window modules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role involves leading a team of BIM Modelers, providing direction and support, and collaborating with project teams to resolve design issues. The Lead BIM Modeler plays a crucial role in the transition from 2D AutoCAD to 3D Revit, assisting in training and maintaining high drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Drawing Production:
Produce detailed shop drawings for window modules using Revit.
Team Leadership:
Lead a team of BIM Modelers, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality output.
Quality Assurance:
Review and verify the accuracy of drawings before submission to Senior Drafting Coordinators.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with project teams to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
Training Support:
Assist in training team members on 3D Revit and new drafting standards.
Standards Compliance:
Ensure all drawings adhere to established drafting standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit. Familiarity with BIM processes and standards.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the glazing industry or related field. Certification in BIM or Revit. Experience with project management software.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
