  • Full-time Residential CAD / Revit Designer Gastineau Log Homes GRITT Business Coaching is partnering with Gastineau Log Homes to find a Residential CAD / Revit Designer who wants to help bring custom homes to life through thoughtful design, accurate construction drawings, and strong collaboration.
If you enjoy turning concepts into buildable plans and want to grow your expertise in residential design, this role offers hands-on experience, visible project impact, and direct mentorship from an experienced design leader. You'll work on distinctive custom homes and specialty structures while building your skills in Revit, construction documentation, and client-centered design. What You'll Do You'll create the drawings and design documentation that guide custom residential projects from concept through construction. This is a hands-on design role for someone who enjoys precision, problem-solving, and seeing their work become reality. Develop detailed CAD and Revit drawings for custom log homes, hybrid homes, and specialty residential structures Translate client ideas, design concepts, and project requirements into accurate, buildable plans Prepare layouts, construction details, and material information to support production and estimating Partner closely with the Director of Design and Engineering to refine drawings and solve design challenges Revise plans as projects evolve and ensure drawing sets stay current and organized Support cross-functional collaboration with sales, estimating, and project teams Occasionally participate in client conversations to clarify design direction and project needs Why This Role Stands Out This is more than a drafting job. Direct mentorship from an experienced residential design leader Meaningful work on custom homes and specialty projects with visible real-world impact Opportunity to deepen your skills in Revit, construction documentation, and residential design A team that values craftsmanship, consistency, and pride in the finished product A clear opportunity to grow into greater technical ownership over time What Success Looks Like Accurate, high-quality drawings Growth in Revit and Enscape skills Projects delivered on time Strong collaboration with internal teams What You Bring Experience creating CAD drawings for residential, architectural, construction, millwork, or similar projects Working knowledge of Revit and comfort producing accurate technical drawings Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate ideas into organized, buildable plans Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain drawing accuracy across projects Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in drafting, design, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field; familiarity with building codes and residential construction standards; experience with Enscape or other 3D visualization tools; and experience supporting estimating, material takeoffs, or client-facing design conversations.
