Job Description

We are seeking a creative problem-solver with a passion for transforming concepts into real-world structures. Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated Revit Designer to join our design team. The Revit Designer will be responsible for developing and managing building information models across a variety of agricultural, commercial, and industrial sector projects. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in architectural or structural design, advanced proficiency in Revit, and a proven ability to use BIM tools to drive coordination, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the design and documentation process. This position is a full-time role with Johnson Engineering Group. Candidate will work from our Sioux Falls, South Dakota or Windom, Minnesota office with the option to work remotely with a dedicated workspace and stable, high speed internet connection. Computer equipment, software, and other tools necessary to complete the job responsibilities of the position will be provided. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive Revit models for architectural, structural, and Mechanical & Plumbing systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate conceptual designs into detailed construction documents Create detailed schematics, plans, sections, elevations, and 3D visualizations using Revit and other CAD software tools Integrate design data with other software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for multidisciplinary coordination Assist in system design and interior layout development by applying principles of graphic design and mechanical design Support project teams by reviewing drawings for compliance with codes and standards while maintaining high-quality drafting practices Utilize Bluebeam for markup review and collaboration on digital construction documents Contribute to innovative workflows by incorporating 2D animation techniques or graphic elements as needed for presentations or client proposals Requirements Candidate should have a minimum of an Associates Drafting Degree (preferred) 1-2 years of working experience in a design firm with project experience working in AutoDesk Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks, and Solidworks Knowledge of Bluebeam for document review and collaboration processes Ability to interpret technical schematics and create precise drafting documentation Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams Ability to travel to various job sites and office locations Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and cross disciplinary teams. Comfort collaborating with team members via Teams Self-directed organized, multi-tasker and can work independently with minimal supervision Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute creatively to project solutions
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
