This role is ideal for a semi-retired architect, former firm principal, senior project architect, or construction professional who is passionate about mentoring others, developing design concepts, and helping clients navigate the path from vision to approval. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our Blueprint to Success™ feasibility program, assisting with early-stage project planning, design direction, site evaluations, client consultations, and architectural guidance throughout the pre-construction process. Key Responsibilities Blueprint to Success™ Program Support Participate in client discovery meetings and feasibility consultations. Review client goals, project constraints, and development opportunities. Assist with preliminary design concepts and site planning recommendations. Provide architectural insight regarding zoning, code requirements, site limitations, and project feasibility. Help clients visualize project potential during the early planning stages. Support preparation of conceptual layouts, massing studies, and development options. Design & Architectural Leadership Develop preliminary design concepts and architectural solutions. Review and provide direction on architectural drawings and project documentation. Assist in creating conceptual floor plans and site plans. Provide technical oversight for architectural production teams. Support consultant coordination when required. Review project deliverables for quality control and consistency. Mentorship & Team Development Mentor junior architects, designers, project managers, and permit coordinators. Share best practices developed through years of industry experience. Help establish design standards and internal quality procedures. Provide training on architectural problem solving and project delivery. Client & Project Support Attend client meetings as a senior advisor. Conduct site visits and field assessments when required. Evaluate existing site conditions and potential project challenges. Assist with construction administration questions and design clarifications. Support leadership with project strategy and risk management discussions. Required Qualifications Licensed Architect preferred (active or previously licensed). Minimum 15-20 years of architectural and/or construction experience. Strong understanding of residential, multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Experience with design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Strong client-facing communication skills. Experience leading project teams and mentoring staff. Positive, optimistic, and collaborative attitude. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Technical Skills Required Proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to prepare and review architectural drawings. Experience developing conceptual site plans and floor plans. Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes. Ability to review consultant drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and field conditions. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office preferred. Revit experience is a plus but not required. Preferred Experience Construction administration experience. Site planning and feasibility studies. Entitlements and permitting. Design review and quality control. Consultant coordination.
