Job Description A well established and forward thinking engineering firm is seeking a Survey Grading Design Specialist to join its dynamic civil design team. This is an opportunity for a Civil 3D expert who sees terrain not as dirt and contour lines, but as a three dimensional puzzle waiting to be solved with precision and creativity. If you enjoy sculpting digital landscapes, refining complex surfaces, and building intelligent 3D models that guide real world construction, this role places you at the heart of impactful infrastructure projects. About the Role As a Survey Grading Design Specialist, you will lead the development of advanced 3D grading models for land development, roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects. Your work will transform engineering intent and survey data into accurate, construction ready models that ensure projects are delivered efficiently and correctly. You will collaborate closely with engineers and survey professionals, helping to optimize designs through iterative modeling, surface refinement, and technical coordination. Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D grading models for site development, roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects
Generate 3D CAD models including grading systems, structures, retaining systems, and custom assemblies
Create and manage Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading objects
Perform design optimization through modeling iterations and quality control reviews
Prepare construction ready CAD files, exhibits, and plan sets
Coordinate with engineers and survey teams to ensure model accuracy and field data integration
Maintain CAD standards, templates, and layer management for project consistency
Qualifications:
Requirements 3+ years of proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D Proven experience creating advanced grading models and complex surface designs Strong ability to develop 3D CAD models across civil and mechanical interfaces Solid understanding of land development, civil/site design, or infrastructure workflows Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and technical specifications Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with GIS or survey data integration ground in civil engineering, drafting/design technologies, or related disciplines Familiarity with corridor modeling, pipe networks, and feature lines Exposure to BIM workflows Why is This aGreat Opportunity :
