The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing roof trusses, floor trusses, and engineered wood systems for residential and commercial construction projects. Responsibilities Design roof truss and floor truss systems in accordance with engineering standards, building codes, and customer specifications. Prepare detailed layouts, shop drawings, and material take-offs. Coordinate with sales representatives, contractors, builders, and engineers to ensure accurate project execution. Review plans and specifications to determine design requirements. Optimize designs for structural performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams. Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes and company standards. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of EWP and truss design experience . Proficiency with industry software such as MiTek, Alpine, Simpson Strong-Tie, or equivalent design platforms . Strong understanding of roof truss, floor truss, and engineered wood product design. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans. Knowledge of residential and commercial building codes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
