This role plays a key part in coordination, model development, and supporting project execution from design through construction. This job is 100% onsite- NO REMOTE!
Virtual Designer Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain 3D electrical models using AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and NavisWorks based on field layouts
  • Perform BIM coordination, including clash detection and resolution using NavisWorks Manage
  • Participate in coordination with general contractors through model submission and approval processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design/build projects
  • Support BIM standards, templates, and detailing best practices
  • Assist with tracking BIM budgets (senior-level responsibility)
  • Generate bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking
Virtual Designer Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 7+ years of CAD/BIM experience in commercial construction (electrical experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit
  • Experience using NavisWorks and BIM platforms (e.g., ACC)
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Electrical field experience and/or formal electrical education #GRP2
