Job Summary:

Our Drafter Intern assists in the preparation of detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures according to customer input and/or specifications by an architect. Essential Job Functions:

Transform initial rough product designs into working documents using computer-aided design (AutoCAD, Revit)Review and approve shop drawings, selection of colors, fixtures, and finishes for function and aestheticsConducts on-site job reviews of existing conditions before preliminary design workDemonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer serviceOutlines components such as labor, materials, and equipmentAssist sales by reviewing product options against project specificationsPredict vendor product types/quantities using architectural drawings and specificationsPrepare submittal documents in accordance with the project architectural drawings and specificationsWork with the project manager to format submittals to best accommodate project delivery and other requirementsReview vendor drawings for production and work with the project manager and vendor representative to correct any issues during their order processOther duties as assigned
