POSITION OVERVIEW
The Architect plays a critical role in delivering high‑quality architectural design and project support by providing on‑site expertise, coordinating effectively with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring strict adherence to data security, confidentiality, and organizational policies. This position is responsible for drafting and preparing detailed plans, conducting architectural design activities, and safeguarding all proprietary information from unauthorized access. The role requires a NAAB‑accredited degree in Architecture and either active registration as a Registered Architect or an equivalent combination of education and no fewer than ten years of architectural, design, and/or construction experience, including proficiency with CADD systems, project management principles, specification writing, and cost estimation tools such as AutoCAD, SpecsIntact, RSMeans, or E4Clicks. Candidates must also demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and experience with federal, military, or civic buildings is preferred. Additional valuable experience includes work involving code research and interpretation, ADA/ABA compliance, higher education facilities, secure facilities such as SCIFs, and major telecommunications system upgrades.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degreed in Architecture through a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) program and either licensed as a Registered Architect (R.A.), by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico, or provide an adequate combination of Education and Experience of the following: Holds a degree in Architecture or related field and must have minimum 10 years' experience in the architecture, design, and/or construction field. This includes a history of utilizing CADD system to prepare drawings, layouts and design specifications, applying project management principles, methods, and tools to resolve architectural problems, and applying architectural design, construction, and improvement to buildings Personnel must be proficient in; drafting and the preparation of plans, preferably using AutoDesk products such as AutoCad, specification writing, preferably using SpecsIntact or similar applications, and cost estimation, preferably using software such as RSMeans or E4Clicks. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe products such as Acrobat. Experience with affecting federal, military, and/or civic buildings will be preferred. Must have a history of performing tasks related to design including code research and interpretation, and familiarity with Americans w/ Disabilities Act (ABA) or Architectural Barriers Act (ABA). Architectural and design experience with higher education facilities, such as colleges, universities, secure facilities such as Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), and/or facilities with major telecommunication system upgrades will be preferred.
