Job Description Job Title :
Architecture & Design Work Location (City, State) San Antonio, Texas Open for Remote (Yes/No) : No Define and implement end-to-end architecture for Java-based applications using Spring Boot. Design microservices-based architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and maintainability. Establish best practices for API design, security, and performance optimization. Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies aligned with business goals. Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership & governance across development teams. Review code, design patterns, and architecture to ensure adherence to standards. Mentor and guide developers, ensuring skill development and quality delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product, Business). Development & Delivery Lead development of RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot. Ensure proper CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment strategies. Drive adoption of cloud-native development (AWS / Azure / GCP). Oversee integration with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services. Performance & Quality Ensure applications meet high availability, scalability, and security standards. Drive performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Implement logging, observability, and resilience patterns (e.g., circuit breakers). Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Strong expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17+). Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices. Hands-on experience with:
REST API
development Hibernate / JPA Messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) API Gateways (Zuul, Spring Cloud Gateway) Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions, etc.). Architecture Expertise Microservices design patterns Event-driven architecture Domain-Driven Design (DDD) API-first and contract-driven development Database Skills Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) Architecture & Design1Architecture & Design W-2United States
