Overview ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a 3D Mechanical Designer to join the Team! Join our dynamic engineering team as an experienced designer/drafter and elevate your career by creating and refining detailed drawings, conducting site walkdowns, and collaborating closely with engineers. You'll utilize advanced tools like REVIT, adhere to strict quality and safety standards, and mentor junior team members, all while working on diverse and exciting projects. This role can be based out of any ENERCON office, or remote within the US for Sr Level Candidates. #LI-MB1 Responsibilities As a 3D Mechanical Designer, your day is a dynamic blend of creative problem-solving and technical precision, where you bring designs to life using AutoCAD, REVIT, and cutting-edge BIM tools. Collaborating with engineers and mentoring junior team members, you ensure every project runs smoothly, from detailed drafting to site walkdowns, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Design & Drafting:
Create and/or modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT. Prepare design drawings, including layout and detail drawings, piping isometrics and P&ID. Detailed physical design of piping and HVAC including supports based on schematics and typical details
Engineering Collaboration:
Work with Mechanical Engineers to size and design piping, pumps, equipment for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls. Work directly with Engineering and other designers for design concept interpretation
3D Modeling & BIM:
Experienced with 3D space and building information management (BIM). Can perform internal reviews and clash detection of designs using NAVISWORK or REVIT. Can create and modify REVIT families and incorporate them into design
Field Work:
Perform walkdowns at client sites and generate walkdown reports
Quality & Standards:
Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product. Understand AutoCAD national standards. Display high attention to details; perform peer checks for other designers
Leadership & Mentorship:
May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership. Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline
Communication & Organization:
Has ability to communicate internally with engineers and designers and is very organized. Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years of design engineering experience
OR Associates Degree in related field with minimum 6 years of design engineering experience
OR minimum of 10 years of experience
Proficient with both 2D and 3D design software, AutoCAD and Revit is required; NAVISWORKS, Inventor, Creo, and Bluebeam recommended
Working knowledge of basic engineering techniques, principals, standards, and concepts for assigned engineering discipline; competent in the basic concepts of other disciplines as they relate to theassigned discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs Compensation Range USD $68,800.00 - USD $136,000.00 /Yr.
