Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The VDC Designer will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing digital models that integrate architectural, structural systems to facilitate efficient project planning and execution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools and Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to optimize construction workflows. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, system design, and drafting, with proficiency in industry-standard software such as Revit and CAD. Duties Review project specifications, proposal, addendums, engineering drawings, and all other information pertinent to project. Generate constructable 3D models and review assembly & spool drawings for fabrication in conjunction with project & shop foremen. Provide other project information/documentation as requested. Provide information necessary for plan review/permit. Manage plan review process. Provide "cut sheets" and shop fabrication drawings as requested. Archive drawings (approved plans, pertinent architectural plans, civil plans, etc.) in electronic format. Perform clash detection and be able to communicate and work through changes to be made with other trades. Maintain/update CAD and VDC systems to ensure maximum efficiency/accuracy is achieved. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of CAD/Revit experience Must have drivers license to visit a job site if needed
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
