Non-Exempt Full Time Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks and assisting with various projects to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Routine Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment, machinery, and systems to maintain their optimal performance. This includes electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as building infrastructure. Respond to
Maintenance Requests:
Prioritize and address maintenance requests promptly, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and accurately. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and update maintenance records as required.
Conduct Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacements, and calibration, as outlined in the preventive maintenance plan. Assist with
Project Implementation:
Collaborate with project teams to support the execution of various projects, which may include renovations, installations, upgrades, or reconfigurations. Assist in project planning, coordination, and implementation to ensure successful project completion within established timelines.
Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues:
Investigate and diagnose equipment malfunctions and system failures, using a combination of technical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and problem-solving skills. Recommend and implement effective solutions to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
Ensure Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards or risks during maintenance activities and project execution. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Equipment Calibration and Testing:
Calibrate, test, and validate equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Keep accurate records of calibration and testing activities, and schedule periodic calibrations to meet regulatory requirements.
Collaborate and Communicate:
Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and project-related tasks. Provide clear and concise updates on progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is preferred. Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong technical skills and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments used in maintenance and repairs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work on-call or overtime, as needed.
