100% Position Type Full-Time/Regular Clearance Required? Yes Level of Clearance Required Secret COLSA is actively seeking a Mid-level Test Engineer to support the HIMARS program in Huntsville, AL. The qualified candidate will perform test engineering activities related to the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and should be able to think holistically about a system and its requirements, with excellent critical thinking skills, applying them to all aspects of HIMARS operational readiness. The selected candidate will develop test requirements, author technical documentation, and perform other related test engineering tasks. Candidate will conduct complex tasks in the testing and analysis of new and existing systems, software, or hardware to determine effectiveness and operational readiness ensuring applicable specifications are being met. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (•Essential functions) Writes complex test procedures and protocols Troubleshoots vehicle, hardware, and software issues with the HIMARS weapon system Develops complex test simulations, gathering test data and analyzing the results Designs, develops, and implements testing methods, test plans, and equipment Designs and builds test stations Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data and system integrity Performs usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability, and security Coordinates the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing Collaborates with other engineering groups and provides technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation Performs testing and analysis on the overall architecture of hardware, software, and networking systems Maintains records of test progress and test results May provide work leadership for lower level employees
