Automation Panel Building Technician Location:
Huntsville, AL Overview:
Join a growing engineering and manufacturing team focused on building highly customized automated equipment. This role involves hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly of complex systems, including mechanisms, pneumatic routing, and control panel wiring. You'll work from schematics and bills of materials to bring projects from design to reality, while also identifying and addressing potential design or performance issues to improve overall quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies for custom automation systems Perform pneumatic routing and integration Wire electrical components and build control panels Interpret schematics and BOMs to ensure accurate assembly Identify and troubleshoot design or functionality issues during build Use hand and power tools for layout, drilling, and modifications Conduct quality and safety inspections of completed equipment Support equipment installation, including travel up to 25%Additional Expectations:
Work independently with minimal supervision Adapt to varying job sites and installation environments Maintain a clean and organized workspace Be flexible with work hours during installationsQualifications:
Strong attention to detail High school diploma or equivalent Experience with forklifts preferred Valid driver's license Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Must provide basic personal electrical and mechanical toolsPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Stand and walk for extended shifts (up to 10 hours) Perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching Work in a variety of environments (including hot, cold, dusty, or industrial settings)Compensation & Benefits:
